Learn how to Surf in Bolinas Photo: Bolinas Surf Lessons Cruise up to Bolinas (just north of Stinson Beach on Hwy 1 in West Marin) and get a surfing lesson from the 2 Mile Surf Shop. They specialize in teaching adult beginner surfers, but all ages and skill levels are welcome. The instructors are experienced surfers, trained in life-saving and CPR, and are life-long residents of the area. Many instructors grew up surfing in Bolinas and offer unparalleled local knowledge. Students will learn basic surfing fundamentals, as well as ocean awareness, water safety, wave riding skills, and surf etiquette. If you're willing to take your chances on your own, you can also rent equipment (surf boards, wetsuits, and boots) from the 2 Mile Surf Shop.
